Given the Cambridge-London axis of this group I'd say alternating between the two places makes a lot of sense.
Sorry Oxford, M4, M3 and other clusters, the people who turned up to last years dinners seemed to be either based in London or Cambridge.
I'll be glad to see the return of the dinner. And promise to organise one myself.
I wonder if every month is too frequent, every second month perhaps?

Though, this book is not about software business, I truly feel this is a must read book for every business man.

A while ago Steve Blank (customer development guru) recommended "Marketing High Technology" about the Intel marketing wars in the 80's... I'm still int he midst of it, but I think it's very good.
Not too many software-specific books I can think of, but a couple you probably already know:
"Founders at Work" by Jessica Livingston - profiles a bunch of successful technology startup founders, mostly software.
