yes this is a tough issue and there are many ways to deal with it. If the site is in a country that strongly enforces its IP laws and it has strong laws, there may be a way to work with a local IP attorney to help. If not then it gets trickier. If…

There are some typical recommendations, like: - use a reliable "wrapping" protection; - do not ignore sending abuses everywhere you can; - release often, making cracks obsolete.
