Business of Software

The *business* of software

Kendra Von Achen

Looking for CRM tool that can also handle/integrate with ecommerce and inventory tools. Suggestions?

I am working with a client that has a manufacturing/distribution company of jewelry.  They need a basic CRM tool that can capture their customer and vendor information, but that can also support their inventory, what stores have what merchandise, how many are left, etc.  In addition, they want to find a new ecommerce tool, preferably one that can link back to CRM to add new customers, purchases, etc.

Do you have any suggestions, and if so, what price range and websites would be helpful.  Thank you.

Kendra,

I think NetSuite has what you're looking for, they combine the sales side CRM with accounting/financial module for a better rounded package (I believe inventory can also be part of it). The problem is the price (over $100K).

You should also check Salesforce.com AppExchange program. They probably have one or two vendors that provide the functionality (licenses for SalesForce.com range from $30 to $50 per user per month I think).

Daniel - thanks. I was considering NetSuite as the first option for this client, until they told me they have a new policy that eliminates them from affording the software! Not happy about that.

As for SF.com, in order to use the AppExchange effectively, it then becomes unaffordable for a 1-2 user company to purchase. That's why I'm having so much frustration finding the right solution for this client.

Hi Kendra, Have you checked out EnCircle CRM though its still under development, its got most of the features any small business would need. I'm not sure about how much integration it can offer with 3rd party products.
